What is a Moss & Lichen roof treatment spray?
A roof treatment spray is a specialized cleaning solution designed to kill and remove moss & lichen growing on your roofs surface without the high water pressure agitation. Applied using a low-pressure softwash system, the treatment works away over 12-18 months time to break down and remove organic growth without damaging roofing materials. It is recommended that you disconnect your water tank from your downpipes until at least 3-4 good downpours have passed. We can assist with this.
Does it get rid of black mould?
In our opinion and experience a roof treatment spray does not work so well on black mould growth. We would recommend either going for a roof wash option first or a touch up wash once the lichen has dissapeared from the roof treatment spray.
What if it rains?
A roof treatment need's a minimum of 4 hours without rainfall after it has been applied. A small shower is ok however heavy rain will affect the solution strength and required dwell time.
How do you apply a roof treatment spray?
9 times out of 10 a roof treatment spray is applied from the ground or a ladder.
