What is a Roof wash/clean?

We recommend disconnecting your water tank when we wash your roof. This can be done by disconnecting your downpipes or opening the diversion cap before the tank. We can assist you with this process.
Wash or treatment?
If you have heavy lichen growth we recommend a roof treatment. If you have a lot of black mould growth or need the roof cleaned ASAP then a roof wash is the best option.
Beware of Moss & Lichen
Moss and lichen growth the worst mix for your roofing material due to the way lichen in particular can imbed itself into the material itself. Even with the gentlest removal you are still left with imprintation from where it had grown. Getting your roof washed before the lichen growth appears is the best way to go.
